Now, when the porn industry slightly settled down from the whole awards buzz and hype, it’s time to talk about 2016 AVN Awards. Predominantly for two reasons. Actually, three. Our friends BLACKED, TUSHY and the man behind the companies, Greg Lansky.
It was January 23, 2016 when the “Oscars of porn” went down in Sin City aka Las Vegas. Girls in stunning dresses and boys, all suited up, were gathering at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, getting ready for the big night. The night of 2016 AVN Awards (2016 marks 33rd AVN Awards ceremony – can you imagine?). The ceremony started and, you can guess it, it was a blast. We would like to say MASSIVE CONGRATS to all the winners. However, we are here to talk about stars of the show, BLACKED, TUSHY and Greg Lansky. Three who took home, listen carefully, a whopping 16 awards.
In a short interview for Adult Empire, Greg Lansky who won Director Of The Year award said, “It’s an amazing honor, you know. I am very thankful for the recognition from AVN, but I am also very thankful to the performers that put their courage and their emotion and their body out there – and they are real artists. What I feel in my heart this year is like, I want to advocate for the fact that adult performer needs to be respected and needs to be considered as artist. This is performance art. It’s 2016, mentalities are changing, [and] we are evolving into a society that is more tolerant. It’s time for adult performers to be considered what they really are, artists.” Salute! Still, Greg winning Director of the Year is only one of the complete 16 2016 AVN Awards, BLACKED, TUSHY and Greg won. It’s hard to believe, especially for young TUSHY, being on the scene for only six months and winning seven awards. You know how it goes: when you do things right, you win awards.
