Amber Rose shows there is no shame in the “walk of shame.”
Before I even begin, I first need to say this: I believe it would be much better if a lady would write this article, but I will do my best.
In a hilarious Funny Or Die video, titled “Walk Of No Shame,” Amber Rose proves there is nothing to be ashamed of. There is no need to show any sign of embarrassment after a one-night stand, girls. We all know how men get treated the morning after a casual sex and we all know how women get treated. Yet again, the stupid double standards. Men usually get a firm hand shake, tapped on the back, saluted and, as Matt McGorry wrote on his Facebook, called “pimp.” While on the other hand, women get treated very disrespectfully and even called sluts and whores. Seriously, what for?
In the short and funny sketch above, model and actress, Amber Rose, encourages society to treat women the same as men are treated. With respect, with cheer and, last but definitely not least, with a solid support.
In a two minute video, Amber walks home in a tight black dress, barefoot, holding her high heels in one hand. On her “walk of no shame,” random strangers bombard her with esteem and admiration.
“Say, it looks to me like you had sex last night,” says milkman (?). “I sure did,” responds Amber Rose. Continuing her walk, a bearded guy from a car tells her, “Hey, you are an inspiration to my daughter.” “I respect that you enjoyed yourself last night. I think we can all agree, having sex is fun,” comments construction worker. The video ends with Amber Rose’s one-night stand buddy, Matt McGorry (yes, that Matt), reminding her she forgot to leave her phone number. She actually didn’t, she just wanted to have sex, that’s all.
The “Walk Of No Shame” video is also a promo for Amber’s LA Slut Walk. Make a stop to double standards, victim blaming and sexual violence.
