They spoke with several individuals who worked in the adult entertainment industry but numbers might not be 100% accurate. However, each payment was backed by enough people what may end up be the best image at the money earned in porn one can get. Have in mind, there can be huge differences between the money earned by a newcomer and money earned by an established, highly popular pornstar.

They covered ten categories: female performer (man-woman scene), female performer (all-woman scene), male performer, director, cameraman, sound technician, production assistant, writers, still photographers and makeup artists. To make a long story short, salaries go from as little as $100 and all the way to $3,000. Whose porn paychecks are the biggest and who receives the smallest? It’s product assistant, whose salary varies from $100 to $250, while director may take home a check in the range between $1,000 and $3,000. Male and female performers are somewhere in the middle.
Roughly said, pornstars may make six-figure incomes, but annual income is way lower than it was a decade ago. According to Spiegler, while an average female performer made approx. $100,000 a decade ago, she now makes as little as $50,000. Free pornography, obviously, decreased sales and consequently lowered porn paychecks, however, the entrepreneurial pornstars will always find a way to get an extra income. As an example, doing social media right can add a big chunk to their earnings.
