Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Erika Lust is an award winning writer and director of erotic/porn movies and scenes. In 2005 she founded her own company that produces adult entertainment content called Lust Films (now Lust Cinema), located in Barcelona, Spain. She wanted to make the kind of porn she would enjoy watching. Porn with a woman’s touch.
At a TEDx event in Vienna, Austria back in December, 2014, Erika Lust gave a “It’s Time For Porn To Change” talk. The main reason why Erika started Lust Cinema is because it was unappealing to her seeing the same old perfect-girls-perfect-guys porn over and over again. You know, blonde, fit and big breasted girl getting fucked by a muscular and big dicked guy (in fake pleasure). In her “It’s Time For Porn To Change” talk Erika shares with the world why she believes porn needs to change. She believes that brining more women into porn industry would be a great start. But no, not in front of the cameras. She urges women from all around the globe to get in porn as directors, producers, camerawomen.
Miss Erika Lust wants to change today’s porn in a way to teach people. Lots and lots of people, especially kids, are teaching themselves about sex through porn, says Erika. Porn is considered as today’s “sex educator.” Just remember how embarrassing you felt when one of your parents or school teachers started talking about sex. But then, when you came home and no one was around, you were craving for porn. Warning: If you are under 18, please leave the page! And if you watch porn today, after several years, the main concept is still the same. Nothing has changed, ads Erika Lust.

Quick statistics: One third of all web traffic is porn. Every four (Google) search has something to do with porn. Nine out of ten boys and six out of ten girls are exposed to pornography before the age of eighteen. Online porn is a $3 billion per year business. Porn, as a whole, generates $13 billion per year.

Erika Lust continues, “Adult content has, of course, the power to arouse, but also, to educate and to inspire. Don’t get me wrong, the sex can stay dirty, but the values have to be clean.” We feel you Erika.
