In a recent video interview for Vice, Rashida Jones discuses porn and her latest documentary about Miami’s amateur porn business, titled “Hot Girls Wanted.” Documentary was released on May 29th, 2015 via Netflix and was officially premiered at 2015 Sundance Film Festival. In short, “Hot Girls Wanted” showcases lives of young, 18- and 19-year-old girls who entered porn industry to earn a quick buck and to gain fame. As Rashida Jones says in the interview, “When you’re 18, when you’re making choices for yourself, you’re not thinking about the eternal effects of footage online. You’re not thinking about external/internal costs, psychological, emotional, physiological and physical costs of, like, having sex for a living. You’re thinking about the fame part of it.” Rashida Jones also talks about the pop culture and its effect on young girls. She mentions her tipping point which was seeing so much photos in a span of a week that war fully inspired by porn and stripper culture. The problem that bothers here the most is that the eyes that are on these girls (Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Nicky Minaj) are by nine year old girls. She adds, “Is there something else that we can do? Is there another way to go? Do you have to twerk to be cool?”
I haven’t seen the documentary yet, but I really hope it does not show porn in a bad light. The trailer (watch below) gets a bit dark, but since Rashida Jones seems cool and knows a thing or two about the porn business, I trust her. Hey, Jones does not have problems with porn, because she knows it is here to stay. She also thinks it’s great to have freedom to explore sexual fantasies.
Too bad this Netflix thing is not working over here, but I’ll manage to get a copy of it somehow, somewhere, to see what’s happening in lives of Riley Reynolds, Kendall Plemons, Tressa Silguero and others.

I personally never was a big fan of amateur porn. Actually, I want to be a bit more specific, I never was a fan of amateur teen porn. It really is not my cup of tea, although I know I get tricked from time to time because some girls look older than they actually are.
