The whole Asia is a bit weird when it comes to pornography. Some places support it to the fullest while others try to ban it. Moreover, they have some really exotic fetishes over there about which we will talk some other day.
In Taiwan, for example, porn sells like crazy. Just recently they sold 15,000 copies of porn star swipe cards with a fully dressed photo of Yui Hatano on them, called “Demon.” That is not all, they were sold out in just over four hours. Not to mention, they went on sale at midnight on Tuesday. Now imagine this same pre-paid cards with a naked photo of Yui. They would probably sell out in minutes. “Demon” porn star swipe cards can be used to access Taipei’s metro system as well as for convenience store purchases. EasyCard’s spokeswoman, Lin Hsiao-chi, urges users to treat these cards as collectables. She said, “This set of cards is suitable to put in your wallet and collect. When you look at it, it will cheer you up.” You know what would cheer me up, Lin? A swipe card with a naked photo of sexy Yui Hatano.
Before these porn star swipe cards cards even went on sale, they caused a lot of controversy (expectable). Some peeps said photo of Lin is disrespectful to women and has an inappropriate impact on children. Furthermore, many stores declined to sell these cards. So, you, critics, are saying that a totally random chick wearing same clothes as Yui would be OK? Just so you know, that is some weird mentality. I agree with Lin who said, that it’s a fresh, healthy and beautiful image.
In mid September they plan to release the second edition of porn star swipe cards, called “Angel” (pictured above). I hope they at least double the amount of copies. Not only will they “cheer up” a lot more people, they will also be able to donate more money to charity.
