There’s no need for an introduction when it comes to best selling porn parodies director Axel Braun. Everyone, who has just a tiny bit to do with porn, knows about last name Braun. It was his father, Lasse, who started directing and producing movies for adults in 1962 and Axel followed his steps. When Axel gets asked who had a bigger impact on him, Hugh Hefner or Larry Flynt, he fires it out, “Neither. My father, Lasse Braun was my inspiration.” He does not know for the rest of the world, be he (Alex) sure owes him a lot. Axel also adds that he is currently writing a book about his father, Lasse. No release date yet.
Braun recently did an AMA on reddit, giving all his fans an opportunity to ask him, well, anything.

Axel was born on September 22, 1966 and raised in Italy. He is fluent in five languages: Italian, French, Spanish, German, and English. Plus, Latin and ancient Greek. He is a film school graduate and has a PhD in Psychology. Braun is also a member of MENSA. It was in 1986, at the age of 20, when he started collaborating with his father on writing scripts. But it was no sooner than 1990, when Axel Braun’s first script was produced for “Fantasy Nights.”
Over the span of his super rich and colorful 26 years long career as a porn director, Axel won hundreds awards for editing, directing, producing and screen writing. Not to mention, AVN’s record setter in winning the most “Director Of The Year” awards in a row.
Going to film school, Axel Braun at first wanted to do mainstream movies but soon realized there are tons of way more talented people out there than he is. An opportunity arose for him later on, what caused to follow his dad’s steps. He used everything he knew to date and the rest is pretty much history. If porn is the most fulfilling career he has, Axel Braun responds, “It’s the ONLY career I have!”
When it comes to his favorite porn parodies he has made, Axel can not pick only one. “It’s like asking a father if he has a favorite son!” His favorites are “Batman XXX,” “Elvis XXX,” “24 XXX” and his latest, “Peter Pan XXX.”
