The truth has fallen. Men and women aren’t as different as you may think when it comes to which porn genres we enjoy watching the most.
While many enjoy watching porn to satisfy their horniness and don’t give a fuck about its science, scientists are constantly busy researching this topic. Either it is good or bad for our health. Or if it can affect our business lives and even relationships. Plus, can watching porn regularly become an addiction – of course not!
But what are the most watched porn genres amongst both heterosexual and non-heterosexual men and women? You probably think, “That’s easy!” however, you might get surprised.
A recent study, published in “The Journal Of Sex Research,” combined men and women’s porn watching habits to give you a better idea what are the top styles of dirty movies they (we) enjoy watching. Before we even go into findings, the study itself has its limits: it studied 2,337 Croatian men and women (aged 18 to 40) and analysed (only) 27 different porn genres. With the amounts of pornography people from around the world consume on a daily basis, these numbers are microscopic.
Anyway, at least there has been a study made on which porn styles are the most popular and here they are.
Let’s first take a peek at what heterosexual and non-heterosexual women like. Straight women’s top three most watched porn movies are, surprisingly, threesomes, blowjobs/oral sex and softcore. No one would have thought that gangbangs (one woman and three or more men) would rank high among women as well (fourth spot). You pervy little girls. And for the non-heterosexual ladies, their go to porn is threesomes, followed by bisexual and oral sex. The least watched porn in both cases? Fat girls, golden showers, enemas and gay.
Now what about men? Which porn genres guys prefer the most?
For all the heterosexuals, amateur porn gets the most viewers. Blowjobs and big breasted dirty movies are ranked second and third. The least watched porn styles are gay, golden showers and enemas. Expected.
The last group study examined were non-heterosexual men. These boys are all about anal, oral, threesomes and amateur porn. It was expected that gay porn would be one of/if not the less viewed porn when it comes to straight dudes, however, I did expect it would rank higher amongst gay boys (fifth place).

With exception of gay porn, both hetero- and non-heterosexual men and women adore quite similar porn genres. Amateur porn being one of the most popular ones for a while, it’s no wonder why gay and straight men enjoy watching it so much. Not to mention, anal, oral and threesomes as well.
When it comes to the softer part of the human population, they do prefer porn that involves three or more people. Do girls try to tell us something? While in real life girls normally don’t even want to hear about threesomes, gang bangs and orgies, their porn lives are all about these porn genres (mostly).
This study being the first of its kind, there’s still a lot that needs to be done on this topic. For instance, studying other countries, less religious as Croatia. As well as examining more styles of porn.
Nevertheless, we might be quite different on the outside, but our porn watching habits are relatively similar.
