What happens when an erotic shop owner posts an ad for a sex toy tester job? It generates such a buzz that each 20 seconds an email gets in and when he wakes up in the morning, 14,000 unread emails/applications are waiting him in the inbox.
This is exactly what just recently happened in Sweden to a sex toy company called Oliver & Eva. Company was (and it probably still is) in need of a sex toy tester, so they set up an ad. The advert was published on Monday last week on Arbetsförmedlingen – Sweden’s Employment Service website. Ad was calling for driven and methodical sex toy testers with patience and a passion for technical equipment. Excel knowledge, good Swedish and at least high school education were requirements. Despite the fact that the ad was removed on Wednesday because people may find it offensive, it already went viral on Facebook. By Wednesday afternoon Facebook users shared it more than 37,000 times – now that’s a successful campaign. Company’s owner, Tobias, said, “We have not had any complaints. Everyone who has contacted us just sees all this as a bit of fun.” He added that this is a perfect part-time gig for the summer time. I wish I had a job like this during my two month summer breaks. I am sure everyone would be jealous.
Before they will hire their next sex toy tester, they would first need to hire people to help them go through all those applications. How in the world can you even go through 14k emails? The news was posted on Thursday last week and I am sure by today the number increased drastically. Well of course it did, everyone wants to test sex toys, duh!

So, how does a CV for a sex toy tester position looks like? You state how many times a week you masturbate? How many sex toys you are using? I dunno, but it sounds fun.
